Epic shows off gorgeous new Unreal 3 foliage tech

It may not sound particularly scintilating, but Epic's new technology for rendering foliage in-game is actually quite beautiful.

They only offered the lone screenshot, but it pretty much speaks for itself. It features a lush landscape sporting an almost pastel-esque aesthetic.

The image was tweeted by Epic Games PR manager Dana Cowley.

Epic has stated that this screenshot is from a game running in-engine in real-time.

Hopefully they'll release some video of the demo where this screen came from soon. You can view the full screenshot below.
