Epic holding a Developer Day and Unreal University initiative in London July 13-14
Epic Games is holding a Developer Day and the Unreal University initiative in London July 13-14 and it is open to anyone working with Unreal Engine 3 or its Unreal Development Kit, the free edition of Epic's toolset and technology.
Epic Developer Day and Unreal University will provide Unreal Engine 3 developers with free hands-on learning experiences led by senior members of Epic's engine team and vetted UE3 instructors.
The first day of the event, Epic Developer Day, is open to anyone under Epic's non-disclosure agreement for "commercial Unreal Engine 3 evaluation and/or full license." Sessions covering a range of topics will be presented with time set aside for Q&A and troubleshooting tips.
The second day presents Unreal University, "an academic initiative" launched by Epic to offer "professional, hands-on guidance to those interested in UDK." Session topics include getting started with UDK, level design best practices, mobile game development tips and tricks and more.
The full program schedules for both days will soon be announced.
Both initiatives will take place at De Vere West One in London and admission is free.
