Sega's released the first dev diary video for Empire: Total War, the next in the top-of-the-tree strategy series.

The video shows motion capture for duelling in the game, which takes place in the 18th Century, a far cry from the ancient world locations of previous titles in the franchise.

This is the first time one-on-one combat's ever been done in a Total War game, as they normally focus on mass battles. Apparently you won't be controlling characters in these fights, though: they're just played out when they occur.
