EGX Rezzed 2020 moved to July due to coronavirus

EGX Rezzed will not take place later this month as previously planned.

EGX Rezzed organiser Reedpop has announced that this year's edition of the indie-focused show has been postponed.

Previously set for March 26-28, Rezzed will now take place July 2-4. The Tobacco Dock in London will host this year's event.

Tickets remain valid for the new dates, but those who do not wish to attend can contact customer services (egx.helpline@reedexpo.co.uk). Alternatively, you can choose to transfer your tickets to EGX 2020 (dates coming soon).

"We did everything that we could to try to run the event as planned, but ultimately, maintaining social distancing is neither feasible at, nor in the spirit of, the interactive and community nature of Rezzed," said Reedpop in a press release.

"It is the community that makes Rezzed so special and it is our duty to make sure that your safety comes first."

Rezzed is, of course, hardly the only games convention affected by coronavirus. Practically every major show and business event taking place in the first half of this year has either been pushed back or cancelled altogether. This includes E3 2020, Taipei Game Show 2020, GDC 2020 and others.

Reedpop is the parent company of VG247 owner Gamer Network.
