Easy boss Cousens: $60 games are "exploitative"
Easy Studios boss Ben Cousens has said that games that are priced at $60 are "exploitative."
Speaking to RPS, Cousens said it was a "harsh business model."
"I can’t think of anything more exploitative than gating all of your content behind having to pay someone $60," he said.
"That’s a really harsh business model if you think about it objectively. What we do is enable everyone to play the game, and figure out if they like it.
"If they don’t like it they can walk away and they don’t lose anything."
Easy is the free-to-play studio from EA that's developed Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield Play4Free, which will start rolling out into an open beta from next week. P4F is seen as a mix of content from Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2.
It'll fully open on April 4.
