Earthlock: Festival of Magic hits PC September 1 and on Xbox One as a Games with Gold title

Earthlock: Festival of Magic, the westernized turn-based role-playing game set in a world of machines and magic, is releasing on PC and Xbox One next month and if you are an Xbox Live Gold member, you'll get it for free.

Announced for PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U when it hit Kickstarter in 2014, development of the RPG began in early 2011 and will be an Xbox One console exclusive for the first month of release.

After the month of console exclusivity, it will be released on PlayStation 4 and Wii U.

The game stars the character Amon who sets out to save the world of Umbra which "stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago."

Players will fight their way through an "everlasting day-side and into the darkness of perpetual night" as they try to save the planet, unlock its secrets and defeat evil.

Along with his band of unlikely heroes, each with their own personality, players will come across various enemies which can be bested by crafting ammo and materials, harvesting elemental plants, and customizing the characters' talent tree.

Part of XBL September Games with Gold, the Snowcastle Games developed Earthlock: Festival of Magic will release on Xbox One September 1 as well as Steam.
