EA unveils future plans for Star Wars: The Old Republic

Star Wars: The Old Republic is only just getting its very first breaths of life, but its creators already have grand plans for the future. Game director James Ohlen talked about some of their future plans. In an announcement, Ohlen detailed some of the things the team is looking forward to adding to the experience.

"It is fair to say that we're just as excited as you are about the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic," said Ohlen. "Not only are we launching one of the largest and most impressive games ever created, but we're also excited about the prospect of continuing to work on the game so that you, the fans, will always have something heroic and amazing to enjoy."

Guild features are said to be taking top priority as the team is working to implement guild banks and guild capitol ships as soon as possible. In the long term they're also working on plans for new solo content as well as group-based missions. Ohlen also discussed plans for more PVP Warzones as well.

They're also promising more space combat missions, as well as the ability to customize the user interface. Finally, there's also a "special project" that will reportedly expand space gameplay dramatically. Though no details were given.

It might have been easier if he'd just announced which areas of the game were not getting planned upgrades.
