EA: Tiger Woods PGA hasn't "hit the limits on the Wii"
EA Sports' Eric Busch, lead designer of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, has said the Wii has life in it yet.
"Each year presents its own set of challenges, but I don't think we've hit the limits on the Wii just yet," Busch told IGN.
Busch did comment that as any console's lifespan extends, investing in further performance enhancing brings "diminishing returns".
The designer also referenced growing Wii 2 rumours.
"I really don't have any insights into what the future may hold for a Wii successor, but the move to HD is inevitable," he said.
"Obviously this would be great from an art perspective since it would help to more closely align our course creation pipelines with those used on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but Nintendo always seems to have a trick up their sleeve, so it will be exciting to see what the future holds."
EA Games head Frank Gibeau recently described the Wii as a "legacy" console and said Nintendo would have to "come back at it" with a successor.
Thanks, GoNintendo.
