EA Tiburon: "Business as usual" on Tiger Woods PGA Tour despite controversy
Tiger Woods developer EA Tiburon has said it's "business as usual" on the PGA Tour franchise despite the controversy and personal claims the golfer has faced in the past year.
Woods was found out to unfaithful and cheated on his wife. He later came clean. But despite that and his form suffering for it, EA has chosen to, at least for now, stand by its man.
"We have our job to do. It's pretty much business as usual for us. It hasn't impacted us at all, EA Tiburon's lead designer Mike DeVault told EG.
"He's still the best golfer in the world, which is really all that we're interested in and really what's important to us. Honestly, he's been a fundamental part of our franchise and he's just continuing to help us. We're still extremely happy that he's part of the game."
EA recently announced Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters for a late March-early April release on PS3, 360 and Wii. The PS3 version will support Move.
