EA's made a first showing of "lighthearted" boxing game Facebreaker, in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii at EA Canada. See screens here.

"Arcade boxing takes me back to my roots in this industry, and this game signals our shift to adding more approachable fun to our product lineup," said EA Sports boss Peter Moore.

Fictitious boxers like Romeo and Molotov will suffer "real-time face deformation" in the game, which currently has no release date. Expect to see this mentioned in EA's third quarter financial statement later today.
