EA closes Blueprint
EA is closing its social gaming division, Blueprint, Variety reports.
According to the site, everyone working on the clandestine project has either been laid off or moved into other areas of the company.
Blueprint was announced at GDC this year, with section lead Neil Young saying, "We want to find a new way to make games with smaller teams... We focus on creating IP in new ways for our media and finding smart ways to spread it across the media landscape.”
Young quit EA in June.
The news comes after EA confirmed it's to lay off 6 percent of its global workforce on the back of Q2 losses.
The majority of EALA's LMNO team has already been axed.
That Variety piece also says that Boom Blox 2's well underway.
