E3 2018: Maneater is an open-world RPG where you play as a shark
In Maneater, you take on the role of a shark in a fight for survival.
Yes, as mad as it sounds, Maneater is a game that lets you play as a shark and eat people and other sea creatures. But it's not just that, Maneater is an open-world, action RPG where you'll have to manage threats and evolve your shark and tailor its traits to suit your play style.
The game is developed by Blindside Studios, and published by Tripwire as part of the team's first wave of titles under its new publishing label. The game's world will be varied, offering sunken shipwrecks and swamps, on top of the open water of the ocean.
Maneater's story revolves around the shark, which you play as, who must exact revenge on a human who killed its mother.
The game's development is lead by Alex Quick, creator of multiplayer underwater shooter Depth. In Depth, you could either play as a team of divers fending off against a shark attack, or as a shark who must outsmart the players.
Maneater is in development for PC, and does not yet have a release date.
