Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires opening cinematic is heavy on guitars

I don't know why Dynasty Warriors is forever associated with shredding guitars, but whatever.

Here's the opening cinematic for Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, which arrives on PC, PlayStation 3 (digital only), PS4 and Xbox One at the end of February, with 35 battlefields and 83 characters.

The Empires spin off of Dynasty Warriors has much the same gameplay, but instead of framing it with a character or faction-driven story mode, there's a semi-strategic meta game where you try to conquer the whole of China.

You can play specific scenarios or just set everything up randomly, but however you start off things soon go absolutely bananas in response to your meddling, and you end up with all sorts of weird situations like a nobody from nowhere running half the land and sworn enemies serving as minor officials to each other. It's kind of rad, if you're a bit geeky about Three Kingdoms history, and there's usually a bunch of extra features like special abilities, the opportunity to get married, and snippets of story not found in the core games.

Thanks, DualShockers.
