$10M Dying Light Spotlight Edition includes speaking role in movie

There's something about Dying Light that inspires wacky PR high jinks.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition is now available in a Spotlight Edition, thanks to an exclusive partnership with GAME.

The $10 million package includes a speaking role in Dying Light: The Movie, as well as stuntman and parkour training, professional acting coaching, your own trailer on set, a screening tour, off-road driving lessons, a zombie makeup session, a copy of the original script, ten VIP tickets to the premiere, a role as the voice of Kyle Crane in a special edition of Dying Light, and four copies of Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition.

If this sounds a bit familiar, that's because this isn't the first completely ridiculous Dying Light promotional edition TechLand has greenlit. The $250,000 My Apocalypse Edition included a real zombie shelter.

This one seems like an even more ridiculous prospect, though, because there's no guarantee the film will ever be made - although with $10 million to get things started, I guess it's possible.

"Dying Light is one of the most exciting survival games around and what’s more – it’s Oscar season so what better time than now to head to the Hollywood hills," GAME UK retail MD Charlotte Knight said.

"We know our community like to get in character and will have no doubt been inspired by the leading actors on the big screen – so this is a really exciting opportunity for any gamer wanting to hit the silver screen in style."
