Techland, developers of Dying Light, have announced that game's modding suite has been updated with support for terrain creation and editing, as well as support for custom model import.

The studio has been teasing this update since as far back as April. To celebrate, Techland and Alienware have announced the second round of Beyond Dying Light.

Beyond Dying Light is a competition that modders can enter by creating custom maps, using the new update tools. Contestants stand to win an Alienware Alpha i7 and a Dying Light-branded backpack filled with gadgets. It officially started August 3, and will be going until August 31.

The developers will select the most innovate and well-made maps.

The Following, an expansion for Dying Light, was recently revealed. It will bring vehicles to the main game, and expand the story and the playable area.
