Dungeons & Dragons: Lords of Waterdeep headed to iPad
Dungeons & Dragons board game spin-off Lords of Waterdeep is coming to iPad courtesy of Playdek, the studio behind iPad versions of Agricola and Fluxx.
Kotaku reports Dungeons & Dragons: Lords of Waterdeep has two to five players battling for control of the titular city, one of the major locations of the Forgotten realms setting.
Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons & Dragons publishing and licensing head Liz Schuh said Playdek was the obvious choice to bring the best-selling boardgame to life on tablets.
“Their experience shipping titles like Ascension and Agricola prove they know how to bring board games to life on the tablet. From a solid tutorial experience to intuitive design for asynchronous and pass-and-play gameplay to creating a fun achievements system, their passion for the original game will mean a faithful rendition of Lords of Waterdeep, optimised for tablet play," she said.
No release date was provided, but in the meantime if you're after some more traditional D&D action on your iPad, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is back on the App Store.
