Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction produced "in good faith", says Interceptor
Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction has sparked a lawsuit from Gearbox Software, but developer Interceptor Entertainment believes the whole mess can be sorted out.
In a statement provided to GameInformer, Interceptor CEO Frederik Schreiber said the company is aware of the lawsuit.
"It's an unfortunate situation, but we have acted in good faith and are working towards a resolution," he said.
Gearbox, which purchased almost all rights to the Duke Nukem property when it swooped in to save Duke Nukem Forever, is suing 3D Realms and Interceptor for trademark and copyright infringement, as well as breach of contract.
The lawsuit seems to have stymied plans for Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction's reveal and release, as its teaser site didn't change overnight despite the end of a countdown it had initially displayed.
