Due Process is a SWAT and Rainbow Six-inspired shooter that brings back the planning phase

Due Process is an indie shooter that's taking inspiration from a few tactical classics, including SWAT and Rainbow Six.

Due Process has been in development for a while, but was only officially re-announced this week by developer Giant Enemy Crab and publisher Annapurna Interactive.

You'll take one look at the game and know exactly what it's going for. Rather than only lift tactical, punishing shooter mechanics from these classic shooters, Due Process looks to be built on one of their greatest features: the planning phase.

Rainbow Six Siege players will know that the planning stage is one of the game's major omissions when compared to the classic prequels, and Due Process is filling that gap.

The game features a classic 5v5 format, but, as you're about to see in the trailer, teams are given a few minutes before the match starts to outline each part of their plan on a big overhead representation of the map that makes it easy to understand flanking routes and attack angles before the action starts.

The maps themselves are procedurally generated, and it doesn't look as punishing as Siege. The game's semi-blocky art style also helps.
