Dreamfall Chapters Kickstarter nears goal, first gameplay footage released

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey developer Red Thread Games has almost funded the project on Kickstarter with weeks left on the clock. To celebrate, the studio has published a new video showing off some very early gameplay footage.
At the time of writing the Dreamfull Chapters Kickstarter has amassed $778,216 of its$850,000 goal with 23 days spare.
The third game in the The Longest Journey trilogy will launch at some point in 2014, wrapping up the series. The video below shows off an early prototype of the game in action, as the developer stressed that the game is still a long way off.
