Dragon Quest Builders 2 Spoilspores - How to Destroy All the Spoilspores

Here's our guide on how to destroy all the Spoilspores you encounter in Dragon Quest Builders 2.

Spoilspores might give you a bit of a headache in Dragon Quest Builders 2, but there's one simple way to get rid of them with ease. In our Dragon Quest Builders 2 Spoilspores guide, we'll be walking you through getting rid of the monsters as quickly as possible.

Dragon Quest Builders 2: What are Spoilspores?

While you're repairing your town with Rosie in Furrowfield, 5 Spoilspore enemies will deploy into your village if you progress the story far enough. When this happens, you're tasked to destroy them somehow, but the finer details of how to destroy the Spoilspores aren't revealed.

You're told that when Spoilspores explode, they release clouds of poisonous gas all around them, which kills all the crops you've planted. You might remember that this is what happened to Rosie's town when you first got to Furrowfield, so we obviously want to avoid a repeat of that.

How to Kill Spoilspores in Dragon Quest Builders 2

If you try and outright attack a Spoilspore in Dragon Quest Builders 2, your weapon won't have any effect whatsoever. Instead, you're going to have to employ your building methods to get rid of the Spoilspore in a creative way, so that when they explode, they don't harm any of their surroundings.

To get rid of the Spoilspores, you need to cut off their air supply. Doing this is actually a lot simpler than it sounds. Construct the small block that we've pictured below, with a block on the ground to the side that allows you to jump up to the higher level, where you'll be looking down upon the Spoilspore in its small prison.

To kill the Spoilspore for good, you need to plant a final block in the middle, directly above the Spoilspore itself. This will cut off the air supply to the monster, causing it to be immediately destroyed. Job done!

What Material Can be Used to Build Prison Around a Spoilspore

Keep in mind that you can use any type of material with the blocks that you use to put the prison around the Spoilspore. It doesn't matter if you're using spoiled soil or floorboard as an ingredient, all that matters is you're putting blocks up around the creature.
