Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot gets new Trunks: The Warrior Of Hope DLC later this year
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is getting its final DLC later this year in a new episode called Trunks: The Warrior Of Hope.
After two DLC episodes that have stayed faithful to the Dragon Ball Super anime, this game's next – and final – chapter is going back to some old-school classic Dragon Ball content.
DLC 3 is travelling to a future timeline that takes place 13 years after the Android saga where Androids 17 and 18 kill the best combatants on earth.... except Gohan and Trunks. Check out the cinematic trailer showing off what you can expect from the last bit of DLC for the RPG below.
In the trailer, we see that Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Krillin, and the other fighters are beaten, and adult Gohan and Trunks are ready to take the fight back to the Androids.
Other than that, we aren't given too much of an insight into what we can expect from the final bit of DLC for the game, though.
The story DLC is set to launch 'Summer 2021' and will arrive in-game along with a few other items including a cooking item that can raise HP and defense (which we're sure will be handy in those big fights with the Androids).
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot sold over 1.5 million units as of February 2020. We called Kakarot “a great way to experience the classic story,” though noted that the game is let down by pedestrian, bland area design and grindy combat.
If you prefer your Dragon Ball content a bit more action-oriented, then you'll be pleased to note that Dragon Ball FighterZ gets Gogeta SS4 later this week, too.
