Dragon Ball Legends Character Roster - Every fighter announced so far
Bandai Namco has announced a new Dragon Ball game at GDC and, after the success of Dragon Ball FighterZ on home console and PC, the long-running franchise is coming to mobile. With any licensed fighting game the roster is super important, so here’s a list of every character we know is appearing in Dragon Ball Legends so far.
We were impressed when we got to play Dragon Ball Legends, with our own Alex Donaldson calling it: “a mobile game that truly appears to be thinking hard about how to get the most out of the property upon which its based rather than how to cash in.”
The game starts with players picking a six character shortlist which your opponent can see. Then you choose a team of three fighters to take into battle - similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Dragon Ball Legends Character Roster:
We’ve played with the following six characters in a demo build of the game, so they’re pretty nailed on to appear in the final game.
- Super Saiyan Goku
- Piccolo
- Pan
- Vegeta
- Frieza
- Nappa
It’s interesting that we’ve only specifically seen a “Super Saiyan” version of Goku so far. This leaves the door open for different versions of the same character to appear in the game - Super Saiyan 2 and 3 perhaps?
Unconfirmed Dragon Ball Legends characters that have appeared in trailers:
The headline character that’s yet to be fully confirmed is the unnamed original character designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. At the moment, judging by his armor and tail, he seems to be a Saiyan character. In the art we’ve seen of him on Twitter and the game's official site, he also looks to be fighting Goku and surrounded by red energy, which would suggest he’s a bad guy, but that’s all we can glean for now.
