Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch beta coming in August, new gameplay for Base Goku and Base Vegeta revealed
The Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch beta is not far off.
Bandai Namco has announced that the Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch beta will kick off in August. Although a specific date has yet to be revealed, the beta will be open to all.
Alongside this announcement, the publisher also revealed that the Switch version includes local multiplayer features like 2v2 and 1v1 matches, in addition to a six-player offline Party Match mode.
We also got two new trailers today for upcoming DLC. The first is for Base Goku, showing him playable for the first time in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Then we have our first look at Base Vegeta, who's seen using his Galaxy Breaker Super.
Both character are due for release early in August, bringing the total of released DLC characters to six. We're still waiting on Namco to reveal the final two to round up the eight promised for the season pass.
Although today's gameplay reveals don't explicitly mention a Nintendo Switch release date, Namco previously said that all DLC will be available for purchase at launch on Switch. We assume this also includes Base Goku, and Base Vegeta, since they'll be released before the Switch version.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is out September 28 on Nintendo Switch.
