Dragon Age: Redemption series expected this year

Speaking at a panel at San Diego Comic Con, Internet darling Felica Day said web series Dragon Age: Redemption should debut in northern Autumn.

"Don't tweet that," she told the audience, suggesting a release window is not yet locked down, Gamespot reports.

The series will be about an hour long in total, with episodes running from six to ten minutes.

The script was written by Day in collaboration with BioWare's Mark Laidlaw and David Gaider. A Qunari warlock is said to be the antagonist of this series, to be played by Hellboy's Doug Jones.

Props and costumes were modelled on in-game assets and artwork to capture the feel of the games - including Jones's make up effects, which take about an hour to apply.

A teaser clip of the series was released in february.
