Dr. Mario World is out in July, check out the first gameplay trailer
Dr. Mario World launches next month, and Nintendo is officially ready to talk gameplay.
Nintendo has unveiled Dr. Mario World today. Announced back in February, Dr. Mario World launches July 10 on Android, and iOS.
If you played the classic Dr. Mario, World's match-three puzzle gameplay should be familiar. In that you match similarly-coloured pills to destroy viruses. Dr. Mario World also features other Mushroom Kingdom characters such as Yoshi, Toad, Peach, and Bowser.
Each doctor has a unique special ability, and you can buy more doctors using coins (in-game currency), or Diamonds. Dr. Mario World is free-to-play but features microtransactions. You can spend real money on Diamonds, the game's premium currency. Diamonds let you replenish stamina, obtain items, use stage continues, and purchase new characters.
Outside of the traditional single-player mode, you can also challenge other players in real-time, head-to-head matches.
