Dota 2's 'reborn update' is coming soon
Soon, Dota 2 will be reborn in the Source 2 engine.
An update on the Dota 2 blog has promised that the Dota 2 main client will receive the Reborn Update "within the coming weeks", upgrading the game to the new Source engine.
"There are still a few features that will need some work when the update is released, but we plan to finish them quickly", the Dota team writes. "Expect the weeks that follow to focus on ironing out issues, refining the dashboard and iterating based on your feedback."
The Reborn client is already available for download in the Play Tab, and from today onwards all new content will be designed for Source 2. Valve have also posted a list of bug fixes and feature tweaks that have been made for Reborn.
Reborn should bring some big changes with it - we already know, for example, that Dota 2 will have its player limit increased to 24.
