Doom Eternal Switch gameplay revealed ahead of December 8 launch
Doom Eternal is – finally! – coming to Nintendo Switch on December 8, Nintendo and Bethesda Softworks have revealed.
Doom Eternal was released originally released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia back in March this year, and a Nintendo Switch release was always promised to come shortly after.
The wait is almost over now, though, with Nintendo and Bethesda finally lifting the lid on when we can expect to see the hellish FPS arrive on the hybrid handheld/home console.
“The wait is almost over,” Nintendo exclaims in a blurb for the game's latest trailer. “Get ready to conquer demons when Doom Eternal comes to Nintendo Switch on Dec. 8!”
If you're eager to download the game and start playing through everything that's been released for the title so far, you're going to have to wait – The Ancient Gods: Part One downloadable content will not be available at launch and will instead come to Switch at a later date.
It's worth noting that the Nintendo Switch release of the game will be digital-only, with the title only available through the Nintendo Switch eShop and via digital codes from distributors.
The Switch version will run at 30fps, and if you want to know what we thought of the game, you can check out our Doom Eternal review at the link.
