Don't Starve multiplayer expansion hits Steam Early Access next week
Don't Starve Together, the multiplayer expansion for Klei Entertainment's unusual survival sandbox, will be available to brave early adopters soon.
Don't Starve's multiplayer expansion will initially launch through Steam Early Access on December 15, Klei has announced.
You'll be able to buy into the in-development version in the form of the Frontier Pack, which includes two Steam copies of Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together.
This bundle will cost you just $5 if you already own Don't Starve, or $20 for everyone else.
As for why Klei has decided to put the expansion on sale before it's finished: it turns out it hasn't been able to meet demand during beta testing.
"As part of the Beta signup process, we’ve found that there are a lot of people who really want into the Beta, and even while giving out a hundreds of keys every day, it became clear to us that we needed a release valve for the demand," the developer wrote.
"Specifically, people were starting to buy keys in back channels, with varying success. That's why we're now providing the Frontier Pack: a clear, official channel for access."
Thanks, GameInformer.
