Distracted Pokemon Go player crashes his vehicle into parked Baltimore police car

A Pokemon Go player in Baltimore, Maryland was so distracted, he ran into a car. The worst sort of car possible.

According to a tweet from the Baltimore Police Department, the driver of the Toyota Rav 4 crashed into a patrol car which was parked off the side of the road.

The incident was caught by a body-cam worn by one of the officers as he stood outside the car. Fortunately, the only injuries sustained in the crash were to the vehicles.

Per the driver of the vehicle, he was distracted while looking down at his phone playing Pokemon Go.

"That's what I get for playing this dumbass game," you can hear him state in the video.

No, that's what you get for not keeping your eyes on the road, but whatever.

Between the armed robberies, finding dead bodies and abandoned pets, disturbing the peace, getting stuck in mines, getting shot at and what the hell have you, things are getting pretty silly rather fast.

So, it's safe to say that until the phenomenon dies down, we'll be hearing more news on the good, bad, dangerous, weird, and idiotic shenanigans of Pokemon Go players.

At present, it's estimated the app has 30 million combined users worldwide in released regions and has earned Niantic Labs and Nintendo close to $35 million. And it's not even available in Japan, yet.
