LOS ANGELES — (June 2, 2009) — Disney Interactive Studios will unveil an expansive portfolio of video games for kids, families and gamers on most major game platforms and devices during the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the industry trade show June 2-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Disney Interactive Studios’ games take players through experiences on a variety of platforms, including home consoles, handheld devices, computers and smart phones, including iPhone and Android. Products target diverse demographics while taking advantage of each hardware’s unique features to provide high-quality entertainment experiences that showcase both new intellectual properties and well known Disney franchises.

The company’s rich line-up is highlighted by new franchises for home consoles: Split/Second, an intense, action arcade racing game in which players trigger large-scale, dramatic events that take out opponents and alter the race track; Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, a new open world action role playing game with an original story based in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe; Toy Story Mania!, a fast-paced, fun-filled video game inspired by the immensely popular new attraction at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, featuring the iconic characters and humor from the popular Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” franchise; Spectrobes: Origins, the next step in the evolution of the popular sci-fi game franchise to the Wii; and Disney Sing It: Pop Hits, the third title in the hit video-based karaoke video game series.

Original Intellectual Properties
• Split/Second: Set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality television show in a made-for-TV city rigged for destruction, Split/Second is an intense action racing game in which competitors can trigger events that take out opponents or completely change the track as they compete for the ultimate prize – to become the season’s champion. Split/Second is from Black Rock Studio, Disney’s racing game studio in Brighton, England, and the developer of PURE, the Game Critics Awards’ Best Racing Game of E3 2008.

• Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned: Armada of the Damned is an action RPG that takes players on a journey into the Pirates of the Caribbean world during a time before the stories from the films. Players will take on the role of a pirate while making decisions that affect the evolution of the original story’s progression. The game will feature the ability to sail and fight through a massive open world filled with dangerous enemies, questionable allies, epic sea battles and the mysterious supernatural.

• Toy Story Mania!: Toy Story Mania! showcases an array of entertaining games inspired by the new Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort attraction, while featuring the iconic characters and humor from the popular Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” franchise. In addition to rapid fire shooting galleries adapted from the attraction, the game includes new and original galleries and a series of mini games, all hosted by beloved characters from the movies. Toy Story Mania! also includes bonus 3D features, transforming the game experience with eye-popping visuals.

• Spectrobes: Origins: Disney’s monster battle franchise comes exclusively to Wii as the saga of planetary patrol officers Rallen and Jeena continues. The two characters will explore new worlds alongside the powerful Spectrobes. Players will discover the depths of the Spectrobes mythology while battling, exploring, excavating and playing alone or together in cooperative mode on the same Wii system.

• Disney Sing It: Pop Hits: The third title in the video-based karaoke video game franchise from Disney Interactive Studios features 30 master recordings and popular music videos from fan favorites, including Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, Demi Lovato, Hannah Montana, Jesse McCartney and Coldplay. With the help of Disney Channel star Tiffany Thornton from “Sonny With A Chance,” the newly expanded “Sing It Pro” mode lets players develop their singing and performance skills to unlock special rewards as they play.

• KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days: Published by Square Enix Co., Ltd., KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days revolves around Roxas, the "other" hero from KINGDOM HEARTS II, and his days as a member of Organization XIII. Follow Roxas and the rest of Organization XIII across the various Disney Worlds, and discover the connection between him, Sora, and the mysterious 14th member, and the reasons behind his eventual departure from the organization. KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days also features a multiplayer mode for the first time, allowing players to control their favorite Organization XIII members.

• Hannah Montana: Rock Out The Show: In the first Hannah Montana game for the PSP system, play as Hannah Montana and perform to 11 songs, including three new tracks. Jackson and Lilly are on hand to help Hannah on her tour as they travel to seven locations around the world and customize outfits, design stages, assemble song lists and more. Players will add their flair to performances by creating unique routines for each song with the “Rock Star Moment Maker” by customizing dance moves, lighting and special effects.
