Disney Interactive Studios' head Graham Hopper has announced his departure from the company.

The news was revealed through an internal company memo yesterday, according to the LA Times, and his departure follows the leaving of Steve Wadsworth, the head of the Interactive Media division. Wadsworth's position was promptly replaced by Playdom head John Pleasants and former Yahoo executive Jimmy Pitaro.

According to the report, Hopper wrote in the company memo he was setting his sites on a "new horizon".

Hopper had been with Disney since 1991 and had a hand in the acquisition of Warren Spector's Junction Point Studios, and the firm's game Epic Mickey is out next week.

Disney recently canceled development on Propaganda's Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, on which it had already spent millions on, to release LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean alongside next year's fourth movie in the series.
