Disney Infinity 2 rumours begin over studio job adverts, PS4 & Xbox One experience mentioned
Disney Infinity 2 could be in development now over at the company's internal team Avalanche Studios. It comes from a job posting that calls for testers to work with new titles based on Disney and Pixar properties.
The advert was posted last week, and follows rumours that Disney Infinity is getting Marvel and Star Wars expansions, along with several hundred staff being laid off. It's possible then, that this tester job role is for the new content, rather than Disney Infinity 2, but fans have started spinning rumours that a full-blown sequel is on the way.
Disney's job post calls for a temporary games tester and reads, "Avalanche Software (Salt Lake City, UT) is a video game development studio focusing on the creation of video games based on Disney and Pixar properties.
"We are looking for temporary game testers to join our team! Applicants need to be available 8-6pm (with possible overtime). Position is estimated to last 4-5 months."
The last line suggests that whatever this project is, it will pass the testing phase in summer, which would tee it up nicely for a pre-Christmas release. Given the cyclical nature of hiring and firing testers for projects, this could be a probability.
It also adds, "Familiarity with Xbox 360, XbOne, PS4, PS3, WiiU a plus."
But is it Disney Infinity 2 or a new round of expansions. That's for you to decide. Discuss below.
