Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel content teased by Twitter slip - report
Disney Infinity 2.0 will be revealed at an event tomorrow, but an itchy social media trigger finger has already spoiled at least one "surprise".
The Agents of Shield Twitter account posted a comment about the upcoming reveal; presumably, the social media manager meant to queue the tweet for tomorrow, but slipped up.
"Today, Clark Gregg surprised fans at the Disney Infinity 2.0 launch event, announcing new Marvel additions to the game," the tweet said.
The tweet was quickly deleted, but GameInformer secured a screenshot.
Gregg plays Agent Phil Coulson on Agents of Shield.
Marvel content has long been suspected for Disney Infinity 2.0. We first heard rumours of it back in early February, along with stories of major lay-offs, which turned out to be correct. An April report corroborated the rumour, but Disney denied the whole thing.
Marvel has been less reticent, producing a teaser trailer, and Disney finally gave in and admitted it would be revealing the future of Disney Infinity this month.
We still don't know if we're looking at a sequel, next-gen port or expansions of some kind; stay tuned for tomorrow, I guess.
