Dishonored 2 PC beta patch fixes mouse sensitivity issues, CPU task priority, more
If you're fine with downloading beta patches, there's a new one available for Dishonored 2 that should take care of some of the reported issues.
Hours after the release of Dishonored 2 on PC, many reports started popping up online about a number of key performance problems.
Among the reported issues, one in particular stood out, and it's related to how the game ties mouse sensitivity to the frame-rate, meaning any frame-rate drops would result in massive input problems.
Update 1.1 has a fix for that and a couple of other issues. The cloth physics bug that impacted performance on AMD cards has been addressed. Finally, the issue that resulted in the game changing CPU task priority constantly, affecting performance, has also been fixed.
Developer Arkane recommended Nvidia users download this particular driver before playing. As for AMD users, 16.10.2 is still the recommend driver.
CrossFire support is coming in the future, the developer added.
In order to get the update, you have to opt-into the beta branch of the game. To do that, Right-Click the game in your Steam library, click 'Properties', and select "BetaPatch" under the 'Beta' tab.
