Fire Emblem celebrated the 15th anniversary of its American debut last weekend, and Nadia and I are here to remember its highs and lows on GBA. Plus, we discuss Tabata's resignation, and take a deep dive into why in the world fans love Mario RPG's Geno so much [download link here]!
As I wroter earlier this week, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword did an exceptionally good job of getting American fans onbord for the otherwise dense franchise. It had a good mix of memorable characters, and just enough challenge to keep hardcore fans happy, while also being accessible enough for its many newcomers. It's still my favorite in the series, and I know it holds a special place in the the hearts of many others as well.
Also in this episode, I ask Nadia to explain to me why Geno is such a requested character in Smash Bros Ultimate. And we cover the surprise departure of Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata, and offer some final thoughts on the controversial entry he helped to save.
