DiRT Rally will get even bigger to celebrate its release on consoles.
A free DiRT Rally update has been scheduled for April 5, to coincide with the racer's PS4 and Xbox One launch. The new content will be available on all platforms, making it a nice bonus for those who bought in on Steam. The most exciting addition is probably seven new vehicles:
- Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak
- Renault 5 Turbo
- Renault Alpine A110
- Opel Corsa Super 1600
- Peugeot 207 S1600
- Renault Clio S1600
- Mini Classic Rallycross
But there's a lot more than that inbound, starting with two new series - Classic Mini and Super 1600, making rallycross accessible right from the start of the game.
A new Pikes Peak track with a vintage gravel surface is the perfect accompaniment to he new Peugeot, and if ou really want the full experience you can equip on of three classic Colin McRae liveries, including Impreza
Less substantially but very welcome, Codemasters has produced 21 new videos to teach players the intricacies of rally driving.
Screens and trailer follow.
As already mentioned, DiRT Rally hits PS4 and Xbox One in April, and if you pre-order you'll score the Fully Loaded MINI Pack and the Fully Loaded Rallycross Pack, which unlocks the Mini Classic Rallycross.
A limited DiRT Rally Legend Edition has gone up for pre-order, too, which also includes a Fully Loaded MINI Pack, unlocking and fully upgrading the MINI Cooper S from the start of the game, granting an exclusive livery for the car, and a unique team mechanic with perks. If you're super keen, an even more limited DiRT Rally SteelBook, complete with Driver’s Guide, is also up for pre-order. Both can be ordered from the DiRT website.
