Trespasser walks into Digital Extremes HQ, has lunch, discovers new game in the works

Someone claims to have infiltrated the Digital Extremes HQ in Canada, had lunch with developers, and learned of an unannounced game in the works.

The story was originally posted on the Warframe sub-reddit by UndercoverLegend, but mods removed the post. This was due to the purported amount of detailed information on the company's offices and also at the request of Digital Extremes.

The poster said staffers discussed with him a game in development titled Keystone, which is a FPS card game hybrid. He said there were so many staffers in the offices, he blended in without notice.

While anyone on the Internet can make such a bold claim, Kotaku says it "independently confirmed that it is true."

That's rather creepy.

In response to the claims, Digital Extremes community manager Rebecca Ford stated on the Warframe forums the company "employs over two hundred passionate gamers," which might explain how he was able to walk around without drawing suspicion.

Ford went on to say that while the company was "flattered someone would want to spend the day with all of us," trespassing is never okay.

She also stressed fans need to respect company privacy and that it discourages "all unlawful attempts to enter" without permission.

Digital Extremes hasn't commented on whether the claims regarding a project titled Keystone are accurate, but what is known at present is the company is working on D&D title Sword Coast Legends and continued support for Warframe.
