DICE and EA working "around the clock" on BF3 support
Both developer and publisher are dedicated to ironing out the wrinkles which have reportedly marred Battlefield 3's launch this week.
"The DICE team, as well as the many EA groups that support this historic launch, have all been working around the clock," DICE's Karl Magnus Troedsson wrote on the Battlefield Blog, reiterating yesterday's spokesperson comment to the effect that fixes are rolling out.
"We’ve deployed a number of server-side updates in our first week that have solved a number of the primary connectivity challenges, and have accelerated our rollout of the number of Hardcore servers."
Troedsson said "millions of people" are enjoying the game, with only "some" having problems. He highlighted five key issues which DICE is treating as priorities: quick matches, squad joining, anti-cheat measures, sever maintenance, and Origin authentication.
This last has been a serious sticking point for some vocal PC gamers who feel imposed upon by EA's platform, and although DICE believes the issue has been resolved, it's taken measures to ensure any problems are resolved more easily than on launch day.
"While the authentication issues have been fixed, we have increased our customer support services exponentially to ensure a smooth experience going forward," Troedsson wrote.
"We have dedicated support staff for you."
