Diablo 3 client datamined to reveal PvP reward tokens, 5 arenas & more
Diablo 3 gamers have datamined the game's client following Patch 1.0.5 to reveal data strings that make continuous mention of PvP tokens, a new NPC, a new deathmatch mode and five PvP arenas.
Diablo Fans made the discovery - as reported by PCGamesN - revealing repeated reference to PvP reward tokens that are doled out for good performance.
The tokens are rewarded as currency after deathmatch rounds, as well as gold and XP rewards. Any tokens you earn can be cashed in at New Tristram’s Slaughtered Calf Inn to an NPC Gryffith the Warmaster in exchange for goodies.
PCGamesN also posted the following datamined image of Gryffith:
The data strings unearthed by Diablo Fans reveal five PvP arenas that will play home to ten minute matches in a 4v4 format - Bastion's Forge, The Fetid Pools, Leroic’s Garden, Pit of the Condemned and the Altar of Courage.
Here are some images of what the Leroic's Garden arena looks like:
Blizzard has stayed quiet on the discovery and is expected to update Diablo 3's PvP offering before the end of the year.
