Diablo 3 patch 1.0.8 now live, adds co-op incentives
Diablo 3 on Mac and PC has been patched with the usual boatload of tweaks and fixes, but perhaps the most interesting aspect is an XP and gold boost in co-operative multiplayer sessions.
The patch is rolling out across international servers, and once it has been applied, players will receive a 10% bonus to Magic Find, Gold Find, and Experience per additional player in a multiplayer game, up to a maximum of 30% in a four-player game.
This extra boost means your Magic Find and Gold Find bonuses can exceed the usual 300% caps, and the Experience bonus can stack with other bonuses from items and Monster Power, making co-op the most lucrative way to play.
It looks like Blizzard is hoping to encourage people to play together - which is usually the most fun, if you have a buddy or two floating around.
Other interesting changes include the ability to quickly identify all items in town, and a reduction in cooldown after changing skills in Inferno difficulty.
It's well worth trawling through the extensive full patch notes to anguish over the various nerfs and buffs for your preferred build or scandalously overpowered rival.
