Devil May Cry fans are having a field day piecing together clues on the third playable character
Devil May Cry 5 fans are trying to figure out the identity of the mysterious third, unannounced, playable character in the game.
Devil May Cry 5 was revealed at the Xbox E3 presser, and the trailer was Nero heavy, although we did get a peek at Dante too.
Three playable characters were confirmed, but the identity of the third one wasn't revlealed, so of course the sleuths of the internet have jumped right on that, and have been piecing together clues to figure out who it is.
The popular theory at the moment is that it's Lady's son.
All of the clue so far have been gathered over on Reset Era, with the biggest one being an image pieced together from a handful of frames from the music video for Nero's battle theme, that reads "I have no name".
Fans think this refers to Lady because it's essentially what the character told Dante in DMC 3.
Currently, the third character is being referred to as V, but there's a general consensus that it's not Vergil.
It's still all speculation for now, but we'll keep an eye out for updates.
Devil May Cry 5 launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in spring 2019.
