You can defeat bosses in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided by talking to them
You can have conversations with your enemy during boss fights in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
These conversations, according to gameplay director Patrick Fortier, are just one of the ways in which the team is supporting all play styles.
Speaking in the latest issue of OXM, via GamesRadar, Fortier said bosses in Mankind Divided are more balanced this time out, and conversations can provided players with "a different means of dealing" with the situation.
"For Human Revolution, because of the way we designed it, [bosses] always died in the cutscenes," added narrative director Mary DeMarle. "You had no choice. But we rectified that in the Missing Link DLC, and we’ve rectified it in this game."
Eidos Montreal previously said it was bringing back the stealth option from the original Deus Ex as an option in boss fights.
All three options in the latest game, fighting, chatting and stealth, provide gameplay variety during boss fights, and which option the player chooses to defeat the boss will affect the story.
No word on whether the chatting results in them being bored to death while you talk about your day.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in the first half of 2016.
