Destiny Xur update: should you buy Patience and Time?

Should you spend your Strange Coins to get Patience and Time?

Xur brought a sniper rifle with him this week, one from the old days of Year 1. It's called Patience and Time, you may have heard of it.

During Destiny's first year, Patience and Time was well-regarded in PvP thanks to its ability to cloak the user when aiming down sights, as well as keeping the radar on screen. Today, things are very different, though it still has the same perks.

Even when you don't consider other Legendary and Exotic options, Patience and Time has definitely fallen from grace. It still does Arc damage, which can be useful when the Nightfall or other activities have Arc burn, but even then you're better off using something with a bit more impact.

Low impact has always been one of Patience and Time's drawbacks, a stat that hasn't improved in Year 3.

In short: it's one for the collection these days, unless you really want an Exotic sniper rifle with Arc damage.
