Destiny Xur update: Should you buy Hereafter?

Hereafter, one of the more prominent Exotics from The Taken King expansion - is it worth your coins?

Xur's weapon pick for this weekend is Hereafter, the Exotic sniper rifle that was added with The Taken King expansion.

Hereafter's main perks are the Hereafter, and Blinding Light. The former noticeably increases zoom distance when crouched and makes it easier to aim under fire. As for the latter, it gives the weapon a chance of blinding nearby enemies when you get a precision kill. Furthermore, if all your shots are precision kills, your magazine gets refunded in full.

Some see Hereafter as Ice Breaker's weaker cousin. It doesn't match Black Spindle or any of the other stronger sniper rifles, but it's great for PvP due to the increased range and no flinch. The same goes for PvE, where most of the perks really shine, especially on strikes where Hobgoblins are an issue.

It's also worth noting that it does Arc damage, which will work great whenever any activity has Arc Burn. In short, it's an above average sniper rifle, and you should buy it if you don't have better options.
