'Destiny-VIII': Square Enix teaser site counts down to January 8 reveal, is crossover

Square Enix is teasing something called 'Destiny-VIII' on a new placeholder site. The reveal will go live on January 8.
The Destiny-VIII teaser site doesn't contain any details, but it does bear the text 'Square Enix x Gloops' suggesting that the Final Fantasy studio and mobile developer are working on a cross-over of some kind.
You can find the Gloops website here if you - like me - thought 'who?' when you saw the logo.
