Destiny The Taken King - final three Calcified Fragments not yet active
With the release of the King's Fall raid hard mode, many thought the mystery of the three missing Calcified Fragments will finally be solved.
Calcified Fragments are a new type of collectibles introduced to Destiny with The Taken King expansion. There are only 50 of them available. 45 of them are needed to get a very popular Exotic, and are presumably connected to other raid challenges.
Among these is a something Bungie promised before launch which involve the King's Fall raid. These were said to be challenges that would only trigger if specific requirements were met, perhaps this room is among them?
With the introduction of King's Fall hard mode recently, players figured they'd find out what these challenges were, along with the missing three fragments that no one has located yet. However, their questions remained unanswered.
That's because, according to designer Luke Smith, these challenges are what rewards players with the three final fragments, but they're yet to be activated.
