Destiny shirt has already raised over $400,000 for Nepal aid
Destiny players flocked to purchase a t-shirt and help out those affected by the disastrous earthquake in Nepal.
Destiny developer Bungie offered the shirt for sale along with an exclusive in-game shader and emblem, with all profits to be donated to relief efforts in Nepal.
Writing on Bungie.net, community manager David "Deej" Dague confirmed that the initiative raised in excees of $400,000 in just one week.
The shirt will be on offer for another week, and charitable offshoot the Bungie Foundation will be donating an extra $15 for every shirt sold in this time, up until either $50,000 or the deadline of 11:59PM PST on May 13.
In total, that could mean another $100,000 added to the funds raised - or perhaps even more.
The funds are being donated to charity Direct Relief, for the purpose of providing medical treatment and "healthy commodities" to those suffering in Nepal.
The shirt can be purchased on the Bungie Store; international shipping options have been updated to make participation more feasible for those outside the US.
A huge pat on the back to those who who have already contributed through this scheme or other charities; you're stand-up people.
