Destiny players one-up Battlegrounds pacifists, take down all bosses without using guns
Maybe we don't need those new SMGs after all?
We've heard of videogame challenges before. You know, the kind that transcend a videogame's ruleset in an effort to provide a new way to play a game, give us an insight into particular mechanics or systems, or in the case of these Destiny players, just straight-up test their resolve.
Brought to our attention by Destructiod, this video surely joins the likes of this guy who beat Dark Souls with his voice, this video series of a streamer completing Fallout 4 without taking a hit, and last week's Battlegrounds pacifists who were shouting 'Winner winner, chicken dinner!' after winning a round without killing a single player.
With Destiny 2's gameplay reveal looming large, Redditor GladHeAteHer182 and his team set about bidding farewell to Destiny in the only way they knew how: by defeating all raid bosses in Challenge Mode without firing a single shot. Oh, and without dying, either.
Apparently this mammoth undertaking took the team over 60 hours, and you can see the highlights of said escapades above. On a scale of 1 to Dark Souls speed runs, it's a fascinating, impressive look at just how dedicated some fans can be.
For me, though? I think I'll be giving Destiny a far simpler send-off. One last lap around Venus on the 'ol Sparrow, perhaps?
Destiny 2 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 8.
