Destiny launch: come party with Bungie

Destiny fans within easy transport of Bungie's Bellevue office are invited to come celebrate the launch of the shared worlds shooter next week.

Destiny fans are invited to Bungie's studio on September 8 - the day before the game official launches - with the first 300 attendees likely to score a tour of the offices, and "the first 1,000 people in line won’t leave empty-handed".

"For years, we’ve been dreaming of a world where you would be a unique hero. As those dreams become a reality, we’d love to celebrate with you," Bungie wrote.

"The development of Destiny has been a long journey. So many of you have come along with us for what has been one hell of a ride. At the end of that road, some of you may find what you’ve been looking for in our studio."

You'll be able to check out the studio, meet Bungie members, and play at demo stations. Bungie is also teasing some surprises: "While you wait for your turn, anything can happen. It is, after all, a public event."

The event runs from noon to 5:00PM in Bellevue. More information is available via Bungie.net.
