Destiny is finally getting a reputation UI
Destiny's next major update will deliver a much-requested feature.
Destiny 1.1.1 will include an upgrade to the menu allowing Guardians to check their faction and vendor reputation levels from anywhere. Previously, they'd have to check in with every vendor independently to see their level and how close they are to an increase.
In the latest Bungie Weekly Update, interface design lead David "Evil Otto" Candland explained why this feature, of all those on players' wishlist, is coming in the next patch.
"We’re working on a lot of new features. This one is being included in 1.1.1 because it had a very low impact on our Test team," he said.
"We’ve known we’ve wanted this feature since we donned our first piece of faction class gear, and the community has too. It was a no-brainer.
"Since reputation really affects your buying power, it made sense to put it in close proximity to your currencies. The inventory screen real estate is pretty full, so using the fly-out convention we established in the settings screen was a way to recoup some space, yet still allow tooltips for another layer of detail."
Excellent. Last time Bungie discussed the patch the developer said it was coming before the end of the month and will include a major weapons rebalancing.
